Modern website design and development

The GOAT is a one-person operation

My name is Paul Brown and I'm from Polk City, Iowa. I love to create. One way I feed this obsession is by building websites.

Who I usually work with

I focus on working with smaller/independently-owned businesses because of the value I can provide specifically to that group. I am a business owner myself (not just this one), and I understand some of the constraints and challenges we can be faced with.

Here's the type of scenario I've seen play out. In many cases, you're involved in nearly every function of your business operations, leaving little time to learn how to handle the parts you're not sure about (like tech related things). When you inevitably can't do something for your business yourself, you look to the market for solutions.

Frankly, software developers are expensive and large unallocated chunks of cash can be hard to come by. This leaves your business with missed opportunities to effectively connect with your customers through technology. I think this market is underserved and turned away too often, but absolutely deserving of high-quality technical services.

To best serve these types of businesses, I offer my services for zero dollars up front and you'll never be required to pay a large sum of money. Learn more about my business model.

Mobile-first

An approach to design to phones first and then scale out - it's much harder to do it the other way around

Secure

My sites come with an SSL certificate, are deployed on a CDN, and I'm always focused on keeping your data private

Accessible

If neglected, users with various disabilities will have an awful experience and leave you exposed to lawsuits

Location

I'm in the Des Moines, Iowa area, but you don't have to be. We'll work together just as well remotely. You'll miss out on seeing this beautiful skyline, though! arrow pointing down icon
